Springville Creek
So, It's been awhile since I've posted. Here's a piece I did on Saturday. Again it's 6x6 inches like most of my others. I was worried about it being too loose, but over-all like the piece. What do you all think?

Green with Envy - SOLD
A little green pepper - I was going to paint it whole but decided it wasn't nearly as interesting. So here it is. A lot of green, but I think I nailed most of the values.

Lemon on Red
Okay, did this one this week. I love the way the lemon turned out. I just wish I would have put something else in there to break up the red a bit more.

Flower Power
Okay, so this week I was able to get 2 paintings done. Both flowers - the daisies are from the side of the road. It's difficult to simplify all of those petals but I think I managed to do an alright job of it.

Slice of San Rafael Swells
Okay, so I know it's been awhile since I've posted anything. Here's something I did about a week or so ago. I wasn't going to post it, but I think it's grown on me. Part of the problem was that the scrap I used was from 7 year old film that I just developed - everything was purple-ish. So I had to do my own color correcting on the fly. Not a bad little painting for what it is. My favorite part is the redish underpainting peeking through in the sky.

Egg on Red
So I picked two of these small bowls at DI and really like their shape and the reflections I get. I added the bright red background to give it more interest. Also I was able to pick up a lot of fabric over the weekend at a random garage sale so I'll have more colors to play with in the future.

Fork Knife Spoon - SOLD
So I went with some silverware. I really like the shapes they make both negative and positive. However, one of the problems with painting something so rigid is first you have to get your drawing right and then you have to worry about it being too tight and stiff. So here it is - at the end I violated a few of the boundaries bringing the background color into the object. It was an optical illusion that was actually visible but of course I exaggerated it a bit.
